I went camping this week in Sedona, Arizona with my brother Wes. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Captured outside of Phoenix, AZ along Hwy 60.

The natural entrance. (Although they have really accesible sidewalks, so it's not so "natural," but who's counting?)

Just inside now

Going deeper...

This the "Big Room" - the largest space inside the cavern.

I was driving through West Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona this weekend. Very late on Saturday night, I was driving on a rural desert road in New Mexico. I hadn't seen any signs of human life in over an hour, and I saw pure darkness in all directions. I pulled the car over on the side of the road. Not only was the night perfectly clear (duh, it's the desert) but there was no moon that night. I looked up, and to my complete exhilaration, I saw what seemed like MILLIONS of stars. I could see the strip of Milky Way, constellations...just countless stars. It was a moment of rare beauty.
This picture was my attempt to capture this experience on my camera. You can see a couple stars, but.....ummmm.....not very many.

So instead, I took a picture of ME looking at the stars. You can use your imagination.

I've started an account on Flickr, a photo-sharing website. This blog will still be my primary place for sharing pictures, but sort of the "Reader's Digest version." I'll post a lot more photos on Flickr. My Flickr account is here.

I'm in Maryland visiting the folks right now. We went to Ocean City today. My whole body is one big SUNBURN!

Kim and Clinton got married last weekend at a big, Texas-sized wedding. Read about it here.
