I took a hike at the Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. About half the trail looks like this, with walls of rock about 300 feet high on each side.
The Tent Rocks were formed millions of years ago from volcanic rock. They got their shape from approx. 100,000 years of rain and wind.
